With almost of 20 000m2 of, "L'Île aux Hérons" has various living and leisure areas. Starting with the different eco-systems: "L'Île aux Hérons" is crossed by a river : l'"Armançon". Deviated on a part to feed the wheel of the old flour mill, the river gave birth to a waterfall and a reach, providing the population of rivers with places of life with varied attractions, running or stagnant waters, perfect for a great biodiversity. Similarly, on the mainland, different areas have been developed: rock gardens, meadows and little forest, large trees and shrubs have been planted, to provide shelter for everyone.

An ideal location for the observation of fauna and flora ... you can indulge in the discovery of different species of birds who live our rivers, such as heron of course, but also wild ducks, or the rare Kingfisher. Insects are not outdone, among the most popular: shining, chafer, butterflies and dragonflies. Finally, the bats will enliven the sky at night.

Thanks to its relatively remote location, our site offers you a magnificent show every night with the observation of the starry sky, without light pollution !

Outdoor activities

In the field, activities to practice are not lacking ! Fishing, swimming in the river or the swimming pool, swing and slide, play house for children, kayak on the river, large space for playing football, volleyball, bocce, and a large games room with pinball , table-football and billiards ... The hardest will be to choose!

Enjoy Our Heated Indoor Pool

To start, for young and old, enjoy the large saltwater pool, covered and secure. Thanks to its large shelter, you move in a space heated by the sun and find a water at good temperature.

Size 6 meters by 10, it has a staircase, convenient for the youngest and a gentle slope, passing its depth of 1m20 to 2m in its center.

At the edge of the pool, you can enjoy relaxing places with lawns, shower, deckchairs, swing ...

The summer lounge

Under the old barn has been converted a large summer Lounge that allows you to eat outside at any time. It is composed of a quality charcoal BBQ and two large wooden tables allowing 15 people to settle comfortably. This will be THE place for all your meals !

The River

For your pleasure, "L'Île aux Hérons" can put at your disposal 2 one-person kayaks, to discovery of the surroundings. Going upstream of the waterfall, you can immerse yourself in the local flora and fauna ... Activity combining sport and relaxation !

And if you teased the fish ? Come with your equipment and enjoy the river or the "Canal of Burgundy" a few steps away, to catch some fish (with your fishing license)?

Finally, the activity that reconciles everyone : throw yourself in the water ! If the water of the river remains cold, we can hope to swim on it in May. In hot weather, it is a real delight to be able to cool off in a living water, without limit for swimming.

The bottom of the river is made of rock and pebbles, we recommend you to come with your water-shoes to enjoy!
